YouTube Shorts Beta was launched in the US, March 18, 2021, and is considered a Tiktok rival for short-form videos.
Anyone with a youtube channel can create shirt vertical videos, 60 seconds or less, and upload with the tag, youtube shorts, or shorts.
Viewers can swipe vertically from one clip to another. These short films are easily discoverable in the youtube app. Creators should start with strong and interesting content to grab their viewers' attention.
